Tech Tip: The "Shiny Metal" Test

Not sure if your pivot bushings are bad? Look at your Quik-Align® pivot bolts (the large connection bolts on the hanger). If you see polished, shiny metal around the bolt head or collar, that indicates movement.

• Movement = Wear.

• If the bolt is moving, your alignment is out, and your tires are being chewed up. Replace the pivot bushing kit and shear bolt immediately to save your tires!
