Fleetguard FF42102 Fuel Filter, Spin-On

Fleetguard products are warranted under normal use and service, to be free from defects in material and factory workmanship (Warrantable Failure). If our product is determined to have a Warrantable Failure, we shall repair, replace or refund such defective product in our sole discretion. If our product is also determined to be the primary cause of damage to the engine or component, we will reimburse reasonable costs to repair or replace, whichever is less, such damage. This limited warranty is made to all owners and is transferable to all subsequent owners.

Warranty Period

This Limited Warranty extends from the date of installation of our product through the duration of (i) the Original Equipment Manufacturers’ (OEM) recommended service life for the product or (ii) our published service life for the product, whichever is longer. Non-serviceable parts shall be covered at the OEM warranty period or one year, whichever is longer. Any repaired or replacement product is covered only for the unexpired portion of the warranty on the original product purchased.

Limitations

Fleetguard is not responsible for reduced service life or failure resulting from abuse or neglect including, but not limited to: improper service practices or change interval(s), unintended applications, misuse, faulty installation or alteration, improper storage, accident, or conditions resulting from actions outside Fleetguard’s control, including but not limited to corrosion or contaminated fluid conditions. Fleetguard products are NOT warranted if they have been cleaned, or otherwise modified in any manner. Fleetguard is not responsible for downtime, loss of income, living expenses, cargo damage or fines.

THIS WARRANTY IS THE SOLE WARRANTY MADE BY FLEETGUARD AND ALL OTHER REPRESENTATIONS, CONDITIONS, WARRANTIES AND TERMS, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED BY COMMON LAW, STATUTE, OR OTHERWISE AS TO THE QUALITY, CONDITION OR FITNESS FOR ANY PURPOSE OF THE PRODUCT ARE EXCLUDED TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMISSIBLE BY LAW, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. FLEETGUARD SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES.

Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts or the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights which vary from state to state.

Claim Process

All claims must be submitted within 60 days of the Warrantable Failure. Do not modify or change the product in any way, as this will void the warranty. Fleetguard has the right to repossess any failed product or component that has been replaced under warranty. Providing the filter in an “as used” condition will improve the ability to properly process the claim.
